Responsibilities or duties

This Role is responsible for driving the implementation of the bank data governance framework, ensuring that data is properly defined, owned, controlled, protected, and used as a trusted enterprise asset. The role supports the data office in establishing data policies, standards, data quality controls, metadata management, data ownership, and regulatory compliance practices across the bank. The role ensures that business and technical teams have clear accountability for data and that critical data used for reporting and analytics is accurate, consistent, secure, and fit for purpose.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

Qualifications/Experience:

Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, Informatics,Information Systems or another quantitative.

Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases

Experience with Python.

Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages.

Experience needed

2-5 years’ experience in technology/data analytics

  • Implement and operationalize the enterprise data governance framework, policies, standards, and controls.
  • Define and maintain data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across key data domains.
  • Drive data quality management through profiling, monitoring, issue tracking, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Maintain enterprise metadata, data catalogue, business glossary, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
  • Support master and reference data management to improve consistency across systems and reports.
  • Ensure data governance practices align with privacy, security, regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Work with business, technology, risk, compliance, and analytics teams to resolve data issues and improve data usage.
  • Produce governance dashboards, data quality reports, issue logs, and management updates on data governance maturity.
  • Any other official duty that may be allocated from time to time.
