Responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, procurement, inventory, and distribution across all branches to ensure efficiency, cost control, and optimal stock levels.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee central warehouse and branch inventory operations
- Implement & maintain inventory systems & proper storage standards (FIFO, hygiene, temperature control)
- Conduct regular stock audits, reconciliations, and fortnightly stock takes
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements and ensure minimal clerical errors
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Prepare purchase requisitions and plan orders based on inventory levels
- Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers for raw materials and packaging
- Verify invoices against deliveries to eliminate discrepancies
- Negotiate pricing while maintaining quality standards
Distribution & Branch Support
- Coordinate timely delivery of goods to all branches
- Conduct at least 3 monthly branch visits to monitor stock and resolve discrepancies
Reporting & Cost Control
- Prepare variance and reconciliation reports for management review
- Track procurement spend and identify cost-saving opportunities
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise supply chain assistants and warehouse staff
- Delegate responsibilities and enforce SOPs to ensure operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field
- 5 years’ experience in warehouse/procurement, preferably in FMCG or food industry
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills
- Experience with inventory/ERP systems (Enquest or similar preferred)
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in multi-branch operations (preferred)
