Job Summary

The Lecturer - Computer Science will be responsible for teaching, research, and community service within the Department of Computer Science. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, contributing to academic programs, and engaging in scholarly activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and conduct tutorials in various computer science courses.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools.
• Supervise student projects, research, and dissertations.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish findings in reputable journals.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic reviews, and quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement.
• Mentor and advise students on academic and career matters.
• Undertake community service activities related to computer science.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized university.
• A PhD in Computer Science or a related field is an added advantage.
• A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level.
• Proven record of research and publications.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
