Responsibilities or duties
Teach assigned subjects according to the curriculum set by the regulatory body, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all required topics.
Prepare all exams and marking schemes for the topics taught in each trimester/block and submit them to the head of the department for approval.
Submit all marking schemes to the head of the department for review before marking any exams to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Evaluate students after each trimester/block using the Behavioural Theoretical Assessment Form to monitor and support their progress.
Assist students working in the wards to successfully complete assigned criteria during each placement, providing guidance and support as needed.
Assist students in their research projects as assigned by the Principal or Research Lecturer, offering mentorship and expertise.
Maintain supportive communication with students, addressing their academic and personal concerns to foster a positive learning environment.
Carry out responsibilities according to the scheduled timetable, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Attend college meetings as assigned, such as lecturers' meetings, to stay informed and contribute to the academic community.
Maintain personal spiritual growth and assist in the spiritual growth of students, promoting a holistic approach to education.
Act as a Class Advisor as assigned by the Principal or head of the department, providing guidance and support to the students in that class.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Principal or head of the department, contributing to the overall success and operation of the college.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Bachelor of Science-Nursing or related field from a recognized Institution
Tutor Certificate
License from Nursing Council of Kenya or TVET.
Experience needed
Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in TVET institutions or related field; clinical experience is an added advantage.
