Koitaleel Samoei University College (KSUC) is a Constituent College of the University of Nairobi and the first public University in Nandi County. Founded in the Year 2018 vide Legal Notice No. 177. The University College embraces Integrity, Excellence, Academic Freedom, Justice and Fairness, Courage and Resilience, Creativity and Innovativeness and Accountability as its core values. For improvement of its service delivery and performance, the University College invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for the following positions:

Responsibilities or duties

• Undertaking teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels;
• Undertaking research and produce publications or other research outputs;
• Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research;
• Participating in curriculum development and review;
• Examination preparation, administration and assessment;
• Participating in administration and management of departmental programmes and activities;
• Developing learning materials including modules;
• Undertaking community outreach activities;
• Participating in the development and review of academic programmes;
• Guiding, mentoring and counselling students;
• Attending and participating in research conferences and seminars.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from a recognized University; OR; A Master Degree qualification (plus a PhD registration) in the relevant field from a recognized University (in special cases) with at least (3) years teaching experience at University level or in research or industry in relevant area;
• Registered with relevant professional body (where applicable);
• A minimum of eight (8) publication points from peer-reviewed journals with; Minimum of two (2) publications in refereed journals or two (2) scholarly published teaching modules or two (2) peer reviewed working/ occasional/ discussion papers;
• Must show evidence of community service;
• Proficiency in computer applications;
• Fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
