Our client is a reputable and dynamic law firm based in Nairobi, dedicated to providing exceptional legal services across various practice areas. They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their team and support their growing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to lawyers and paralegals, including managing schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for case files and documents.
  • Assist with legal research and gather relevant information as required.
  • Manage client communication, including answering calls, taking messages, and responding to inquiries professionally.
  • Prepare and file court documents and assist with court-related processes.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Perform other clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, Legal Secretarial, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a legal or office administration role is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
