Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Contract Review Specialist to support the initial review of commercial contracts. You will be responsible for evaluating agreements, identifying potential risks, documenting contractual deviations, and participating in preliminary negotiations before escalating complex issues to the leadership team.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in contract review, legal support, or contract administration who enjoy working independently and with strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Review: review contracts with clients, vendors, subcontractors, NDAs, and commercial agreements.
- Executive Summaries: prepare summaries identifying parties, duration, payment terms, and key obligations.
- Risk Assessment: detect and classify contractual risks by impact level.
- Negotiations: participate in initial negotiations on standard non-material terms.
- Redlining: provide suggestions and comments using Word redlines.
- Escalation: escalate contracts with significant deviations or high risks.
- Documentation: maintain updated records of reviewed contracts and their status.
- Administrative Support: assist with signatures, renewals, and document filing.
Mandatory Requirements
- Advanced English (written and spoken).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in contract review, paralegal work, or contract administration.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Track Changes, and comments.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Availability to work Texas business hours.
