About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Lawyer with practical experience in mineral extraction, mining operations, or natural resources law to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide legal support for site operations, compliance, licensing, land access, environmental matters, and contractual engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel on mining and mineral extraction activities.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, permits, and compliance documents.
Ensure adherence to mining, environmental, health & safety, and land laws/regulations.
Manage legal risks related to site operations and liaise with regulatory bodies.
Handle disputes, claims, and stakeholder engagements at extraction sites.
Conduct legal research and prepare reports, briefs, and advisory notes.
Requirements
Should have a current practicing certificate
Minimum 2 years post-admission experience.
Experience in mining, mineral extraction, natural resources, or environmental law.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks governing extraction sites.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Willingness to travel to and work at remote extraction sites as needed.
