LIBRARY CHECKER
Scale: KUC 3
Vacancy: 1

Duties and Responsibilities
- Guarding and patrolling the library.
- Monitoring library entry and exit points.
- Verifying library identification cards or authorized access.
- Ensuring only authorized users enter restricted areas.
- Verifying that borrowed items have been properly issued through the library system.
- Preventing unauthorized removal of library materials.
- Monitoring the movement of library materials.
- Conducting routine patrols within and around the library.
- Ensuring users comply with library regulations and the code of conduct.
- Promoting a quiet and conducive learning environment.
Requirements – Direct Appointment
Candidates must:
- Have KCSE mean grade D+ or equivalent.
- Be physically and mentally fit.
- Have a Certificate of Good Conduct.
- Have a clean record of discharge from any of the Kenya Uniformed Forces.
- A certificate in Library Studies will be an added advantage.
