Overall purpose of the job:
Working under the supervision of the Laboratory in-charge, the successful candidates will perform diagnostic laboratory tests and scientific investigations to support accurate medical diagnoses.
Key responsibilities:
- Collect, register, and analyze patient specimens within approved testing protocols.
- Timely and clear reporting of test findings to clinical staff and patients.
- Maintain strict quality control by using proper reagents, calibrating equipment, and keeping workspace hygienic.
- Prepare routine diagnostic and operational laboratory reports.
- Engage actively in internal Quality Assurance (QA) routines and update quality logs accurately.
Position requirements:
Education: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science.
Licensing: Valid registration certificate from the KMLTTB (Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting.
Competencies: Proficient computer skills, strong customer care capabilities, self-motivated, collaborative, and professional inter-personal demeanor.
