At TakaTaka Solutions, We collect your waste like every other waste collector, but, instead of taking it to a landfill, we take it to our own sites, where we sort the waste, and then recycle 95% either ourselves or through our local partners. This represents one of the highest recycling rates in the world.
Responsibilities or duties
- Monitor live truck locations via tracking systems and conduct regular spot checks to ensure collections start and finish on time.
- Coordinate daily collection routes, follow up on new and sensitive clients, and plan recovery for missed or delayed collections.
- Create and manage client geofences and generate accurate daily collection and compliance reports.
- Coordinate with drivers, loaders, customer care, and workshop teams to resolve operational issues promptly.
- Manage trip logs, mileage updates, fuel allocation, and fuel consumption analysis, flagging any variances.
- Maintain vehicle compliance records (NTSA inspection, insurance, speed governors) and proactively track renewals.
- Liaise with the workshop on vehicle breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance timelines affecting collections.
- Support route optimization through field visits, data collection, and efficiency reviews.
- Schedule drivers’ and loaders’ work plans, off days, and leave to ensure full route coverage.
- Coordinate one-off and internal trips including buy-back centers, dumpsites, and vendor partners.
- Investigate and document incidents such as property damage or service failures and ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Nairobi routes and environs.
- Knowledge of NTSA and traffic regulations.
- Working knowledge of logistics systems, fleet tracking, and fuel management.
- Strong coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic mechanical understanding of vehicle operations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
Experience needed
Minimum 1 year experience in logistics, fleet coordination, or operations administration.
Experience using GPS tracking systems, logistics software, and reporting tools.

Budget:- Ksh 25,000 to Ksh 30,000.
