Wananchi Group Kenya is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Officer to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating logistics operations, ensuring efficient shipment processing, and maintaining compliance with regulatory
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments (sea, air, road).
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure timely shipment processing and delivery.
- Track shipment schedules, prepare logistics status reports, and proactively highlight delays.
- Ensure full compliance with KRA, KEBS, and all regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for receipt, verification, and safe storage of goods.
Education and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related field.
- Professional certification (CIPS/KISM) is an added advantage
- 3-5 years' experience in logistics, preferably in the telecom, ICT, or FMCG sector.
- Experience with ERP systems (eg, Oracle, SAP, Navision, or similar).
- Proven experience working with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies.
