LOGISTICS OFFICER

Job Title: Logistics Officer
Department: Operations / Supply Chain
Reports To: Logistics Manager / Operations Manager

Job Purpose

To coordinate the movement, storage, and distribution of goods and materials, ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective logistics operations that support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation and delivery of goods.
• Monitor inventory movement and stock levels.
• Prepare delivery schedules and logistics plans.
• Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, warehouses, and customers.
• Ensure compliance with procurement and logistics procedures.
• Track shipments and resolve delivery challenges.
• Maintain logistics records and prepare operational reports.
• Coordinate fleet utilization where applicable.
• Monitor logistics costs and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–3 years' experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software is an added advantage.
• Valid driving licence is desirable.
