About the job
Your role
As a logistics Specialist your mission is to deliver reliable and efficient logistics support to both local and regional customers by optimizing supply chain activities, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, reducing operational costs, and improving delivery performance to support overall business growth. You will report to the Logistics Manager.
You will achieve this through an effective execution of the following responsibilities:-
- Manage sales order processing for both local and indent orders.
- Proactively follow up with product companies to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Handle import and export documentation in full compliance with customs regulations.
- Select and coordinate the most appropriate mode of transport for each shipment.
- Ensure accurate application of sales terms, Incoterms, and payment terms in all orders.
- Maintain and regularly update the contract review database.
- Liaise with customs agents to ensure prompt clearance of shipments.
- Process customs duty payments and maintain up-to-date customs records.
- Manage procurement of non-core logistics services from approved providers.
- Provide timely order status updates and feedback to both internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with finance teams to resolve EDI errors before month-end closure.
- Work with finance to ensure timely reconciliation of Goods in Transit (GIT) reports.
- Track orders and monitor transit times to ensure delivery performance.
- Manage reverse logistics processes efficiently, including surplus returns.
- Maintain effective communication with product companies, agents, and customers.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support business objectives.

- You have 2 years of experience, working in logistics operations.
- Education - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field.Additional Certifications (optional but beneficial): Certified Supply Chain Professional.
- Regulatory Knowledge - A clear understanding of relevant regulations to ensure full compliance with legal requirements.
- Analytical Skills -Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve, utilizing data and insights to drive informed decision-making and address logistics challenges.
- Communication Skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills -Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail -A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and processes.
- Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to efficiently and effectively identify and resolve logistical issues to drive operational excellence in logistics.
