Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science, Science Education, or a relevant field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Science from an accredited university/college.
  • Minimum three to five years of relevant teaching experience, preferably at the Middle School level.
  • Experience with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and OpenSciEd.
  • Cultural proficiency and understanding of intercultural learning, with teaching experience in a multicultural setting.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of pedagogy and instructional approaches aligned with ISK’s educational aims, including:
    • Conceptual and inquiry-based learning
    • Understanding by Design model (UbD)
    • Social Emotional Learning
    • Student-centered approach
    • Technology Integration
