Angani Resort & Spa is seeking a practical and skilled Maintenance Technician to carry out routine and minor repair and maintenance work across the resort's guest rooms, public areas, and grounds, with working knowledge of basic plumbing, masonry, and electrical tasks, ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and well-presented for guests at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and servicing taps, toilets, and showers.
• Undertake basic masonry work such as patching walls, repairing tiles, plastering, and minor structural touch-ups.
• Handle basic electrical tasks, including replacing bulbs, fixing sockets and switches, and reporting faults.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and minor breakdowns reported by guests or staff.
• Support the maintenance team with preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.
• Escalate specialized or major repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor or approved external contractors.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Observe and comply with health and safety practices while carrying out all maintenance tasks.
• Report any recurring issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist with setup and minor repairs for events, banquets, and functions as needed.

Key Requirements:

• Certificate or basic training in general maintenance, building services, or a related trade.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, masonry, and electrical repairs.
• Prior experience in a maintenance or handyman role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual work, including bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and respond to urgent repair needs.
