Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with machinery.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts promptly to ensure minimal downtime in production.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to optimize overall efficiency and safety.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new machines and technical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Keep work areas organized and ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address broader operational issues.
  • Follow machine-specific procedures and maintenance schedules as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience in machine maintenance or a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address complex machinery issues.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic with equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and adherence to safety standards.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or on-call if needed.
