MOMBASA YOUNG MOTHERS Stylish Hub is hiring. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team.

Job Purpose

To provide professional make-up services tailored to clients' preferences, occasions and individual features while maintaining high standards of creativity, hygiene, professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Make-up Artist will:

• Consult clients to understand their desired make-up style, occasion and preferences.
• Assess skin type, complexion and facial features to determine appropriate products and techniques.
• Provide make-up services for everyday use, events, celebrations, photography and other occasions.
• Apply foundation, concealer, powder, blush, eye make-up, lipstick and other products professionally.
• Provide natural, traditional, bridal, evening and other appropriate make-up styles.
• Assist clients in selecting suitable make-up colours and products.
• Maintain awareness of current make-up trends and techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic workstation.
• Clean and disinfect reusable make-up tools and equipment.
• Use disposable applicators where appropriate to minimise cross-contamination.
• Check product expiry dates and safely dispose of expired products.
• Observe appropriate hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Manage appointments effectively and provide timely services.
• Maintain appropriate records of services and products where required.
• Support photography, promotional events and other Hub activities.
• Recommend suitable make-up and skin-care products to clients.
• Participate in skills-development and professional training.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Hub Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate in Make-up Artistry, Beauty Therapy, Cosmetology or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant practical experience is an advantage.
• A portfolio demonstrating previous make-up work will be an added advantage.
