Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, Capex report, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data.
- Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on deviations from budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to improve financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of Divisional financial reports either for internal or external stakeholders as may be requested from time to time.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure Stock take takes are carried out periodically & carry out inventories reconciliations across all stores to ensure inventory ledgers are accurate.
- Support internal and external audits with appropriate documentation and analysis.
- Work closely with other departments to gather financial data and provide business support.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in financial reporting processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree
- Must be a CPA (K) or ACCA Finalist
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in financial systems, preferably Sage and Microsoft Excel
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Time management and organizational skills
