Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, Capex report, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on deviations from budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to improve financial performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of Divisional financial reports either for internal or external stakeholders as may be requested from time to time.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure Stock take takes are carried out periodically & carry out inventories reconciliations across all stores to ensure inventory ledgers are accurate.
  • Support internal and external audits with appropriate documentation and analysis.
  • Work closely with other departments to gather financial data and provide business support.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, and company policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in financial reporting processes and systems.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be a CPA (K) or ACCA Finalist
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in financial systems, preferably Sage and Microsoft Excel
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Time management and organizational skills
