Develop and implement ERM strategies: Design and roll out comprehensive frameworks, policies, and procedures for managing risks across the organization. Conduct risk assessments: Systematically identify, analyze, and evaluate potential risks and their potential impact on business operations. Risk mitigation: Develop and recommend strategies, controls, and systems to reduce or manage identified risks effectively. Monitoring and reporting: Track risk management activities, performance, and results, and prepare regular reports and presentations for senior executives and board members. Compliance and governance: Ensure the organization adheres to relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Team leadership and development: Supervise, train, and mentor staff level professionals, providing technical direction and fostering a strong risk-aware culture. Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with various departments and key stakeholders to integrate risk management practices and support risk-informed decision-making. Crisis management: Assist in developing contingency plans and response strategies for adverse events and security incidents.
Analytical and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions, and provide actionable insights. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex risk information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, including senior management. Leadership and Teamwork: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, build effective working relationships, and foster collaboration. Strategic Thinking: Capacity to integrate risk management with the organization's overall strategic planning and business objectives. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of risk management methodologies, frameworks (e.g., COSO), regulatory compliance, internal controls, and risk assessment techniques. Problem-Solving: Skill in identifying and addressing complex problems, developing innovative solutions, and making independent decisions. Adaptability: Agility and ability to adapt to new developments in risk management and changing business environments. Business Acumen: Understanding of business and fiscal practices, as well as the client's business and market dynamics to understand how risks impact profitability.
