Role Overview:

FSD Africa is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Manager, Nature Programmes. This role will be responsible for leading and managing initiatives within the organization's nature-focused portfolio, likely involving environmental sustainability, climate finance, biodiversity, or natural capital projects across Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, planning, and implementation of nature-related programmes and projects.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with partners, donors, governments, and communities.
  • Oversee programme budgets, reporting, and compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and thought leadership in nature-based solutions, climate resilience, or related fields.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme impact and ensure alignment with FSD Africa's strategic goals.
  • Manage and mentor team members involved in nature programmes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (likely 5+ years) in programme management within nature, climate, or environmental sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the African context and developmental challenges related to nature and finance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in fundraising, donor reporting, and grant management is desirable.
