Job Description
To lead and manage the Reconciliations team ensuring the effective oversight, investigation, and resolution of complex reconciliation breaks, queries, and escalations. The role is responsible for mitigating operational and financial risk through the timely resolution of outstanding items, strengthening controls, and maintaining the integrity of the Bank’s financial records and reconciliation processes.
Qualifications
Type of Qualification: First Degree
Professional certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K ) or ACCA
Knowledge of Machine learning ,SQL/Python and use of large language models is an added advantage
Experience Required
- 8-10 Years
- Knowledge of payment systems and associated reconciliation processes.
- Strong knowledge of settlement processes, including deals, treasury, trade finance, and financial market transactions.
- Extensive experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across business, operations, finance, risk, technology, and external partners.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to lead, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
- Proven experience using data analysis and reporting tools to drive insights, improve controls, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
- Strong background in risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance related to reconciliations, payments, and settlement
- Experience driving operational excellence, process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and control enhancements within a complex financial services environment.
