Position Overview
Grade: GDC 3
Reference Number: GDC/HRM/GRD/GRM/MGRM/02/2026
Job Purpose
The Manager – Geothermal Resource Management will be responsible for overseeing reservoir monitoring, fluid chemistry analysis, and thermodynamic evaluation to maximize the utilization efficiency and longevity of geothermal reservoirs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Geothermal Resource Management department, ensuring optimal monitoring of active geothermal reservoirs.
- Oversee reservoir modeling, simulation, and well testing activities to forecast reservoir performance and steam decline rates.
- Supervise the collection, analysis, and archiving of geochemical, geological, and geophysical data from active geothermal wells.
- Formulate steam field management strategies, including reinjection plans, to prevent reservoir pressure drawdown and thermal breakthrough.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports on reservoir health and capacity to guide generation planning.
- Lead and mentor a team of reservoir engineers, geoscientists, and technicians.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geophysics, Geology, Chemistry, or equivalent field from a recognized university.
- Post-graduate qualification in Geothermal Technology or Reservoir Engineering is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8–10 years of professional experience in geothermal resource management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in geothermal reservoir simulation software (e.g., TOUGH2, PetraSim).
- Strong analytical, project management, and report-writing skills.
