The Mombasa Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (MOWASSCO) is a state corporation established under the Water Act 2016 and operates under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation. MOWASSCO is mandated to provide safe, affordable, and reliable water and sanitation services to the residents of Mombasa County.

Responsibilities:

The Manager, Supply Chain Management will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and contract management. Key duties include:

  • Developing and implementing effective supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Managing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Overseeing inventory levels and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and service providers.
  • Leading and developing the supply chain team.
  • Monitoring supply chain performance and identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification in CIPS or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
