Responsibilities or duties

The Managing Director shall report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for providing overall leadership, strategic direction, and management of the Company’s operations.

• Implementing the Company’s strategic plan and preparing annual reports.
• Maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and external partners.
• Ensuring staff carry out their duties and responsibilities efficiently.
• Ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations and administration of the Company.

Qualifications or requirements

Must be a Kenyan citizen.

Must hold at least a first degree in:

• Civil Engineering
• Water Engineering
• Business-related field
• Environmental Science
• Or any other equivalent qualification

Relevant professional qualifications and registration with a recognized professional body in good standing (e.g., Engineers Board of Kenya).

Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.

Experience needed

Minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification experience, with at least five (5) years at senior management level in a reputable organization.

Any other provided details

Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity.

The Managing Director position is offered on a contractual basis for a period of five (5) years, renewable subject to performance.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
