Job Summary

The Market Surveyor conducts field surveys by interviewing respondents, collecting accurate data, and reporting findings. The role involves interacting with customers, businesses, and communities to gather information that supports business decisions and market research projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face, telephone, or online surveys with respondents.
  • Explain the purpose of surveys and obtain respondents' consent.
  • Collect accurate and complete data using questionnaires or digital data collection tools.
  • Verify and validate information gathered to ensure data quality.
  • Meet assigned daily, weekly, or project-based survey targets.
  • Maintain confidentiality of respondents' information.
  • Submit completed surveys and daily progress reports on time.
  • Report any field challenges or unusual findings to the supervisor.
  • Travel to assigned survey locations as required.
  • Follow company policies and research ethics during data collection.

Qualifications

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field (requirements may vary).
  • Previous experience in market research or data collection is an advantage but may not be required.
  • Familiarity with mobile data collection applications is an added advantage.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
