Core Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Identify and pitch to target clients, including small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), informal traders (e.g., Gikomba or Kamukunji merchants), and corporate manufacturers importing or exporting goods between Kenya and China.
Service Promotion: Educate prospects on specialized shipping solutions, including sea freight, air cargo, container consolidation (LCL), customs clearance, and secure last-mile doorstep delivery in Kenya.
Quotation & Proposal Management: Prepare tailored freight proposals, calculate accurate shipping quotes based on CBM (Cubic Meters) or weight, and negotiate pricing structures to secure high-volume accounts.
Maintaining a high percentage of returning traders through effective customer service pipelines
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, International Trade, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
Experience: 2–4 years of proven B2B sales and marketing experience within freight forwarding, customs clearance, or express courier industries in Kenya.
Solid understanding of the China-to-Kenya importing process, including Incoterms, container consolidation, and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) customs compliance
