Background

CDL was founded in early 2003 by its current Managing Director Lucy Mmari.Within her 14 year tenure in a well established logistics company, She honed her skill in human resources management and thereafter started CDL.

Purpose of the position:

The person in this role will perform a variety of marketing roles. He/ She will support the execution of marketing activities, product launches, activations, and day-to-day operations

Duties and responsibilities:

Activation & Events Support

  • Coordinate Brand Ambassadors and promoters.
  • Prepare activation materials and product samples.
  • Track attendance and activation reports.
  • Assist with event setup and logistics.
  • Collect photos and feedback from activations
  • Compile activation reports

Retail & Distributor Support

  • Support product launches and promotional rollouts.
  • Coordinate sample distribution to retailers and distributors.
  • Maintain records of retailer promotional activities.
  • Follow up on retailer and distributor requests related to marketing support.

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Track inventory of POSM, branded merchandise, uniforms, and activation materials.
  • Coordinate storage and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Maintain an inventory register and conduct periodic stock counts.
  • Monitor usage and replenishment requirements

Market Research

  • Collect information on pricing, promotions, new products, and market trends.
  • Assist in consumer surveys and focus group activities

Administrative Support

  • Maintain marketing calendars, trackers, and filing systems.
  • Maintain purchase requisitions and supplier documentation.
  • Maintain an expense tracker.
  • Organize departmental records and correspondence.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years' experience in marketing, administration, or customer-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing tools is an advantage
