Looking for a communication job in Kenya? Serena Hotels is hiring a marketing & digital executive to drive digital campaigns, strengthen brand visibility, and support marketing initiatives. The role is based in Nairobi and experience in digital marketing and brand management is required.
Job Summary
The Marketing Executive will support the planning and execution of digital and marketing initiatives across the Sarova Hotels portfolio. The role is responsible for driving brand visibility, online engagement, campaign performance, content creation, and support for hotel marketing activities to increase brand awareness, bookings, and customer loyalty.
Responsibilities or duties
Digital Marketing
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across social media, email marketing, Google Ads, and display advertising.
- Monitor and optimize SEO performance to improve website traffic and search visibility.
- Create and schedule engaging social media content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X.
- Track digital campaign performance and prepare monthly analytics and insights reports.
- Support influencer collaborations, digital partnerships, and online brand campaigns.
- Manage online reputation by monitoring reviews and engaging with online communities where necessary.
- Coordinate digital assets including photography, videography, and creative content.
- Support CRM and email marketing initiatives to drive guest engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with marketing agencies.
Marketing & Brand Support
- Assist in planning and execution of hotel marketing campaigns, promotions, activations, and events.
- Support digital PR and media activities including press releases, media hosting, and partnership campaigns.
- Coordinate production of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, signage, and branded merchandise.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communication platforms.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and revenue teams to support business objectives and campaigns.
- Assist in developing marketing calendars and campaign plans for the hotels and restaurants.
- Support sponsorships, partnerships, CSR initiatives and experiential marketing activities.
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- Strong understanding of social media management, digital advertising, SEO and content marketing.
- Experience using digital tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Google ads, Mailchimp, or similar platforms.
- Experience in social media marketing.
- Excellent writing, communication and content creation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Creative thinker with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience needed
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital marketing and marketing, preferably in hospitality, tourism, lifestyle or service industry.
