We are seeking a driven, execution-focused Marketing Manager to support and scale our digital presence across SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and social media. This role is designed for someone who can own execution, build upon existing strategies, and gradually take on more ownership as they grow into the role.

You will work closely with our Marketing Director, who has the overarching strategy in place and is committed to training and mentoring the right candidate. While technical SEO is handled by external partners, this role leads and executes on-page SEO, content optimization, AEO initiatives, and social media management — with full autonomy to recommend improvements and contribute ideas that move the needle.

A strong self-starter mindset, genuine curiosity, and a willingness to learn are not optional — they are the foundation of success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

SEO & AEO Execution

  • Execute and optimize on-page SEO initiatives including title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, internal linking, and URL optimization
  • Build upon existing keyword strategies and content clusters to improve organic visibility and search rankings
  • Collaborate with outsourced technical SEO partners to ensure recommendations are implemented and aligned with the broader SEO strategy
  • Optimize content for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), including:
    • Google Featured Snippets — structuring content to win position zero
    • AI-driven search experiences — optimizing for how AI surfaces and presents information
    • Voice and conversational search — adapting content for natural language queries
    • ChatGPT-style and AI answer results — ensuring content appears as a trusted source in AI-generated responses
  • Use SEO tools including Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Moz to monitor performance, track rankings, and identify growth opportunities
  • Audit and update existing content to improve rankings, engagement, and conversions on an ongoing basis

Content Creation & Optimization

  • Create and optimize new content where gaps or opportunities are identified
  • Repurpose existing content across multiple channels to maximize reach and impact
  • Ensure all content aligns with current SEO and AEO best practices before publishing
  • Coordinate closely with the Marketing Director on content priorities, messaging, and brand voice
  • Maintain a consistent publishing cadence and ensure content quality meets a high standard across all formats

Social Media Management

  • Execute the social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Manage content creation, scheduling, and posting — currently using Feedbird, with openness to evaluating and improving the toolset
  • Improve content quality, visual consistency, and brand voice across all active platforms
  • Monitor engagement metrics, comment activity, and platform performance and bring data-driven optimization suggestions to leadership
  • Contribute strategic input on content formats, posting cadence, and platform-specific best practices while primarily owning execution

Collaboration & Growth

  • Work closely with the Marketing Director and internal stakeholders on priorities, campaigns, and performance reviews
  • Receive feedback and training actively — this role is designed to grow, and receptiveness to mentorship is a key success factor
  • Contribute ideas and insights across SEO, AEO, content, and social media to continuously improve performance
  • Operate with a proactive, self-starter mindset — identify opportunities and act on them without waiting to be directed

Required Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of experience in digital marketing, SEO, content marketing, or social media management
  • Strong working knowledge of on-page SEO and content optimization best practices
  • Familiarity with AEO concepts and a genuine interest in AI-driven search trends and how they are reshaping organic discovery
  • Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, SEMrush, and/or Moz
  • Proven experience managing social media platforms including content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking
  • Strong written communication skills — your content is clear, on-brand, and well-optimized
  • Comfortable executing independently while staying aligned with leadership on strategy and priorities
  • Eager to learn, adaptable, and genuinely growth-oriented — this role rewards people who take initiative and embrace development
