Purpose
Ensure inventory optimization through review and analysis of data and provision of solutions / proposals that guide agreement / contract decisions and establish supplier performance indicators by applying industry proven metrics for measuring & improvement of supplier performance to drive business operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive contracts negotiation by analyzing and reviewing the requisite materials data.
- Operationalize existing contracts and agreements.
- Monitor and control contracts performance – CSP, PBH’s, GTA’s,Adhocs.
- Generating management reports regularly or as required.
- Review and management of materials cost.
Skills
- Proven analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Cost analysis and management skills.

- Good communicator with ability to form and maintain good relationship.
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering/Supply Chain Management.
- Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills.
- Experience of working in a material cost control role and supervising the smooth supply of materials in line with maintenance requirements and budget, ideally within aviation or manufacturing.
- Experience in contract management.
- Knowledge of inventory management.
- Advanced understanding of materials management data and systems.
- Knowledge of aircraft components/parts.
- Ability to read, understand & interpret approved maintenance documentation e.g.; IPC, RSPL, AMM, SBs etc
- Knowledge of lean techniques.
- Knowledge of aircraft parts airworthiness certification (EASA, FAA) KCAA and customs regulations relevant to aircraft parts desirable good understanding of IATA resolutions and industry rules.
- Membership of an appropriate professional body will be an added advantage.
- 5 years working knowledge and experience preferably from aircraft maintenance or in a technical field.
