Background

The International Humanity Foundation (IHF) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering disadvantaged children and communities worldwide. With volunteers working across five continents, IHF promotes ethical leadership, cross-cultural collaboration, and sustainable development.

We are currently seeking articulate, strategic, and media-savvy volunteers to join our Media Team.

Role Overview

The Media Team is responsible for IHF’s external reputation and press relations. Your mission is to secure media coverage, draft professional press releases, and manage our public-facing narrative. You act as the bridge between our grassroots work in Kenya, Thailand, and Indonesia and the global media landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Press Relations: Identify and pitch stories to international journalists, bloggers, and news outlets to highlight IHF’s impact.
  • Copywriting: Draft high-level press releases, media kits, and articles for external publication.
  • Newsletter Management: Curate and write the monthly global newsletter sent to our worldwide database of supporters.
  • Interview Coordination: Prepare IHF leaders for media appearances and coordinate "on-the-ground" interviews with center staff.
  • Lead Responsibility – Training & Mentorship: Develop and lead training sessions for new members on "Media Etiquette," how to draft a professional pitch, and IHF's public-facing brand voice.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications.
  • Proactive "hunter" mentality for finding media opportunities and following up.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professional discretion.
  • Interested in International Relations, PR, or Media Management.
