Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Officer to join our team. The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing direct patient care, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and promoting health and wellness within our community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and assessments.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBChB or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
- Valid registration and a current practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-internship experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
Work Environment
This role is based in a dynamic hospital environment, requiring adaptability and a commitment to patient care.
