Position 4: Medical Officer

REF NO: KMC/MEDICO/5/2026

No. of Positions: 2

Station: Mbita Town

Responsibilities or duties

Manage medical team and supervise healthcare services including clinical diagnosis, investigation and treatment per protocols, attending to emergencies and stabilizing patients, admitting patients to wards, carrying out procedures within scope (ear syringing, cannulations, stitching, cesarean sections, splintage of fractures), running special clinics in consultation with visiting consultants, providing educational and clinical training for staff, and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Registration with Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council with valid practicing license, BLS Certificate, ACLS/ATLS or equivalent, Minimum 1 year post-internship experience in busy hospital, Valid indemnity cover, Must not be in full-time employment or schooling elsewhere, Chapter 6 compliance.

Experience needed

Minimum 1 year post-internship experience in busy hospital
