JOB DETAILS:
The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is a tertiary care hospital committed to providing high quality, compassionate healthcare services to the people of Western Kenya and beyond. We are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Medical Officer to join our dynamic team.
The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient consultations, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans.
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in medical education and research activities.
Qualifications:
- MBChB or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and current practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- At least 2 years of post-internship experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
