Job Responsibilities:

The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. The role involves working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient management and adherence to clinical standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized institution
  • Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
  • Valid practicing license
  • Minimum of 2 years post-internship experience in a clinical/hospital setting

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • High level of professionalism and ethical practice
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills

Added Advantages:

  • ACLS/BLS certification
  • Surgical experience
  • Emergency Medicine certification is an added advantage
  • Experience in a busy hospital or emergency setting
  • Computer literacy and electronic medical records experience
