The Membership Service Assistant will provide crucial administrative support for ISK’s membership programs including processing membership applications, updating the member management system, responding to inquiries via phone or email and coordinating events. The position requires strong organizational, communication, writing and ICT skills. The Membership Assistant will report to the Membership Services Officer.
Specific Responsibilities
- Respond to member questions, complaints and requests via phone, email or in person.
- Track and resolve inquiry tickets through the membership management system.
- Conduct membership recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Process membership applications, renewals and subscription payments.
- Maintain and update membership management system records.
- Plan and execute member events.
- Develop and implement membership drive and growth strategies.
- Oversee the development and delivery of quality membership services.
- Coordinate ISK Membership Chapter programmes and outreach operations.
- Identify and develop promotional avenues to raise awareness of the Institution.
- Conduct service needs assessments for members in liaison with relevant departments.
- Identify appropriate training programmes and services for members.
- Support the design and implementation of programmes arising from member-related research.
- Develop and implement members’ welfare programmes and activities.
- Maintain the member management system.
- Perform any other lawful duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying (Geospatial/Geomatics Engineering), Real Estate, Land Administration, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized University.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration or Marketing is an added advantage.
- Membership of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) or a professional body with the above qualification is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in ICT, Microsoft Suite and CRM systems.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position and similar organization.
