Job summary
To ensure effective monitoring of program performance, workplan implementation, accountability, and learning, and to facilitate structured review processes that support timely decision-making and continuous improvement across programs.

Technical reporting: Program Leads, Engineers & Communications Coordinator
Job Location
The candidate will be based in Aitong, Maasai Mara, Narok County. Aitong is 77kms from Narok town, enroute Talek Centre.
Purpose of the Role
To ensure effective monitoring of program performance, workplan implementation, accountability, and learning, and to facilitate structured review processes that support timely decision-making and continuous improvement across programs.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Data Management
- Develop and operationalize M&E frameworks, logframes, indicators, and data collection tools.
- Collect, verify, analyze, and manage quantitative and qualitative program data.
- Conduct routine field monitoring visits to assess activity implementation and data quality.
- Maintain up-to-date program databases, trackers, and dashboards including Salesforce, PowerBi and any other.
- Ensure data quality assurance through routine checks and validation processes.
- Ensure ethical data collection, safeguarding, and data protection standards are upheld.
Workplan Monitoring & Review
- Track implementation of approved annual and quarterly workplans across all programs.
- Monitor progress against planned activities, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for all programs and infrastructure projects.
- Identify delays, bottlenecks, and implementation risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in the development, refinement, and alignment of workplans with results frameworks and budgets.
- Plan, convene, and facilitate quarterly workplan review meetings with program teams and management.
- Prepare and share quarterly workplan performance summaries, action points, and follow-up trackers.
- Support program teams to adjust workplans based on performance data, learning, and contextual changes.
Evaluation & Learning
- Coordinate baseline, midline, endline, and special evaluations.
- Analyze monitoring and evaluation data to assess program effectiveness and impact.
- Document lessons learned, best practices, and evidence for adaptive management.
- Facilitate learning, reflection, and after-action review sessions with staff and partners.
- Promote a culture of data use and continuous learning across the organization.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare timely M&E and workplan monitoring reports for management, donors, and the Board.
- Provide M&E inputs to donor updates and reports, proposals, and concept notes.
- Provides monthly snapshots of program and project implementation to HQ.
Capacity Building & Coordination
- Train program staff, field officers, and partners on M&E tools, indicators, and data use.
- Support integration of M&E across new and ongoing programs.
Key Deliverables
- Quarterly workplans review meeting reports with action trackers
- Updated workplans and performance monitoring tools
- Program dashboards and indicator reports
- Evaluation and learning briefs
Qualifications/ experience desirable
- University degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, or related field from a recognized university
- At least 5 years’ experience coordinating M&E functions
- Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation methods
- Experience in database design and management, including advanced Excel and data tools (SPSS, Stata, R, KOBO Collect, Salesforce & PowerBI)
- Experience in education programs and their application in project design, monitoring, and evaluation is an advantage
- Proven experience in impact reporting.
