Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role within the FMCG and cosmetics industry. This individual should possess excellent market demand knowledge, demonstrated sales drive, and a proven ability to secure new customer listings. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategy and revenue growth in both Nairobi and upcountry regions and will actively lead a dynamic sales team in the field, collaborating to brainstorm innovative sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive growth and expand market share in the FMCG and cosmetics sector.
  • Field Engagement: Actively accompany the sales team in the field to brainstorm and refine sales strategies based on real-time market feedback and customer interactions.
  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and pursue new listing opportunities with retailers, detailing the benefits of our products to potential customers.
  • Market Analysis: Utilize market demand knowledge to forecast sales trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to ensure high performance and achievement of sales targets.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for the executive team, providing insights on market trends and team performance.
  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with existing customers while seeking new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in a sales management role within the FMCG or cosmetics industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is an added advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.
    • Deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behaviour in the FMCG and cosmetics sectors.
