Responsibilities or duties

Simulate Complex Negotiations: Conduct role-playing exercises where students negotiate contracts with "suppliers" (played by peers), covering pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards.

Develop Conflict Resolution Plans: Teach strategies for managing disputes in supplier relationships, including mediation tactics and the creation of mutually beneficial solutions.

Analyze Supplier Financial Health: Instruct on how to read financial statements of potential suppliers to assess risk and stability before entering negotiations.

Build Supplier Scorecards: Train students to create performance evaluation scorecards that track supplier metrics like on-time delivery, defect rates, and compliance.

Formulate Strategic Sourcing Plans: Oversee projects where students develop long-term sourcing strategies that balance cost reduction with relationship building and innovation.

Manage International Logistics: Teach students to negotiate terms related to international shipping, Incoterms, and customs clearance to ensure efficient global supply chains.
