The Network Designer drives the design, planning, and optimization of robust telecommunications and ICT network infrastructures. The role involves developing passive and logical network architectures, utilizing GIS tools for route mapping, generating technical specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM), and collaborating with engineering teams to oversee design implementation.
Responsibilities or duties
- Design comprehensive passive and logical network solutions tailored to project specifications and industry standards.
- Utilize GIS planning software to map, analyze, and optimize network routes and site layouts.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, schematics, diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and deployment teams to ensure seamless transition from design to implementation.
Qualifications or requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Telecommunication, ICT, or a related technical field from a recognized university.
Experience needed
- At least 7 years of general working experience within the Telecommunication or ICT sector.
- Minimum of 5 years of specific, hands-on experience in network design.
- Relevant professional certifications in GIS planning as well as Passive and Logical Network design.
