We are seeking a highly skilled Catalyst SDWAN Engineer to join our team supporting both engineering and operations functions within a service provider environment. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of SDWAN technologies, including the latest features such as configuration groups and VPN0 migrations. This role requires strong consulting skills to guide complex network migrations and optimizations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Catalyst SDWAN solutions tailored for service provider networks.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and ongoing management of SDWAN infrastructure.
  • Design and lead migration projects related to VPN0 (convert the internet transport interfaces to higher bandwidth) and other critical network segments, ensuring minimal disruption and high availability.
  • Development of policies for load Balancing & Path preference for Private & Internet transport.
  • Utilize advanced SDWAN features such as configuration groups to optimize network policies and segmentation.
  • Provide expert consultation and troubleshooting support for complex Catalyst SDWAN issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and best practices for Catalyst SDWAN operations and engineering.
  • Stay current with emerging SDWAN technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and upgrades.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to align SDWAN strategies with overall network and business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with SDWAN technologies in a service provider environment.
  • Strong understanding of SDWAN architecture, protocols, and latest features including configuration groups and VPN0 migrations.
  • Hands-on experience with SDWAN deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent consulting and communication skills to work effectively with engineering and operations teams.
  • Ability to design and manage complex migration projects with minimal impact on service.
  • Familiarity with network security, routing, and VPN technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Catalyst SDWAN, CCNP Enterprise, or equivalent) are a plus.
  • Ability to work with cloud-delivered and on-premises Catalyst SD-WAN deployments.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools related to Catalyst SDWAN.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
