Valley Hospital is a private company seeking to hire a Night Nurse In Charge.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Oversee all nursing operations during the night shift
  • Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure quality patient care
  • Monitor patient conditions and ensure timely interventions
  • Ensure proper handover between day and night teams
  • Enforce adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and standards
  • Manage emergency situations and escalate critical cases appropriately
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all nursing activities and patient records
  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards
  • Support continuous quality improvement in patient care

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or KRCHN from a recognized institution
  • Valid registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya and a current practicing license
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, especially in night shift settings

Experience needed

Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably with supervisory or leadership exposure.
