Role Summary:

The Nurse Covering Role involves providing temporary nursing coverage to ensure continuity of patient care during staff absences. The nurse will be responsible for delivering quality nursing services, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and supporting the medical team in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general nursing care to patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Support doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure infection prevention and control measures are followed.
• Provide patient education and emotional support.
• Assist in emergency response when needed.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration and practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
• Minimum 1-2 years' nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
