Responsibilities

The Nurse Lead will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the Theatre and CSSD departments.
  • Ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and standards.
  • Managing and leading the nursing team in the departments.
  • Maintaining adequate stock of supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborating with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • A valid nursing license and registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a Theatre or CSSD setting.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile processing techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
