Jordan Hospital Medical College is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Nurse Tutor to join our esteemed healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, Initiate, facilitate, moderate classroom discussions and deliver lectures to students.

2. Demonstrate and teach patient care in skills laboratory and clinical units to nursing students.

3. Prepare course materials such as schemes of work, lesson plans, homework assignments and handouts for trainees.

4. Supervise trainee’s research proposals and case studies.

5. Assess and grade the trainee’s class work (theory), practical tests, and research projects and evaluate the trainee’s performance.

6. Together with the trainee maintain attendance records, assessment outcomes, portfolio of evidence, and other required records.

7. Participate in student recruitment, registration, placement activities and community events.

8. Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters and academic issues.

9. Perform any other duty as directed by the administration

Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from a recognized University is mandatory.

Registered and licensed by The Nursing Council of Kenya.

Proof of proficiency in CBET/CBA will be an added advantage.

At least two years’ experience post-internship in teaching.

One-year experience in clinical practice as a nephrology nurse or medical teaching

Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong leadership skills

Proficiency in Information Technology

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
