JOB DETAILS:
Delivers specialized mental health and psychiatric nursing care.
Conduct initial mental health screenings and risk assessments.
Respond to acute psychiatric or emotional crises.
Administer prescribed psychotropic medications.
Collaborate with counselors and off-site mental health providers.
Sensitize students, faculty and staff on mental health awareness.
Maintain accurate, confidential health records.
Requirements
- Higher National Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health and Psychiatry or equivalent).
- Valid registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- At least five (5) years relevant work experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Knowledge of ICT.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
