Qualifications and Requirements:
Option 1:
- Earned Bachelor's / Higher Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) or equivalent
- Three (3) years' experience in a hospital setting
- Registered by Nursing Council of Kenya
- Valid practicing license
- Computer literate
Option 2:
- Earned Diploma in Enrolled Community Nurse (ECN)
- Three (3) years' experience in a hospital setting
- Registered by Nursing Council of Kenya
- Valid practicing license
- Computer literate
Option 3:
- Earned Certificate in Enrolled Community Nurse (ECN)
- Six (6) years as an Enrolled Community Nurse Grade 5/6
- Valid practicing license
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly reproductive health, family planning, and nursing procedures reports
- Implement QMS in the department
- Participate in staff education and staff meetings
- Take patient samples, pulses, temperatures, and blood pressures
- Provide emotional support to patients and relatives
- Carry out technical procedures
- Maintain nursing supplies inventory
- Maintain safe and clean working environment
- Perform comprehensive physical examination
- Respond to emergency situations to save life and offer prompt treatment
- Dress wounds and injuries
- Administer drugs
- Assess and report on the needs required to support nursing services
- Maintain records on patients/clients personal and health condition/care
- Plan, implement interventions, and prepare periodic reports
