Job Purpose

To assess patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized dietary plans to promote health, manage diseases, and support recovery.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics, or a related field.

Licensing: Must be registered and hold a valid practicing license.

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.

Key Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy.
• Excellent counseling and communication skills.
• Ability to develop creative and acceptable meal plans.
• Empathy and patience when dealing with patients' dietary challenges.

• Conduct nutritional assessments for inpatients and outpatients.
• Develop and implement therapeutic diets for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, renal disease, and malnutrition.
• Provide dietary counseling and education to patients and their families.
• Monitor patient compliance and progress, adjusting meal plans as needed.
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure therapeutic diets are prepared correctly.
• Plan and conduct group nutrition education sessions and community outreach programs.
• Stay updated on the latest research in clinical nutrition.
