Job Description

The incumbent shall be responsible for completing projects with little need for oversight and ensuring deadlines are met, collaborating with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to identify and work on improvement opportunities for the program and facilitating program communications and providing regular status report.

 Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing written programs for the Microsoft office as needed.
  • Conducting risk assessments for job tasks.
  • Prioritizing work based on team objectives.
  • Investigating incidents.
  • Assisting work teams to implement hazard controls.
  • Managing hazardous waste compliance from hardware labs if/where needed
  • Helping to administer OHS tools like SDS database, training database, and injury reporting process.
  • Participating in the Employee Safety Committee and helping to direct the Committee's activities to ensure good engagement from employees.
  • Working with OHS Global Risk Manager to facilitate Supplier Safety Community, to collaborate on safety and health issues with office vendor groups.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Health & Safety/Occupational related studies.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the Occupational Health and Safety field.
  • Must have the needed official OHS qualifications as per local regulations if required in the country
  • Must possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues.
  • Must have good soft skills including a good written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in analyzing data for trends, developing and executing effective professional communications, and adult learning.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other Microsoft tools or be able to learn to use them.
  • The most qualified candidates will have experience working in a research and development environment or experience working in high-technology industries.
